Danny S. Shepard

Danny Shepard has been practicing law in Georgia since 1978, bringing more than 45 years of legal experience to clients throughout Southwest Georgia. A lifelong resident of the area, Danny graduated from Miller County High School in 1971 before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Mercer University in 1975. He later received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1978.

Throughout his distinguished career, Danny has combined private practice with decades of judicial and public service. He served more than 20 years as State Court Judge for Miller County and currently holds Emeritus status. Since 1980, he has also served as Municipal Court Judge for the City of Colquitt. In addition, he previously served as County Attorney for Miller County for approximately 20 years and has represented the Miller County Development Authority for nearly 40 years.

Danny is a Certified State Court Judge and Certified Municipal Court Judge. He is admitted to practice before the State Bar of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States Northern District Court of Georgia, and the United States Middle District Court of Georgia.
